Each film coated tablet contains :
Thiocolchicoside 4 mg
Aceclofenac 100 mg
About the drug : Thiocolchicoside is used clinically for its muscle relaxant,
anti-inflammatory, and analgesic properties, and it has been shown to interact with gamma-amino butyric acid (GABA) type A receptors
It acts as a competitive GABA receptor antagonist and also inhibits glycine receptors with similar potency which ensures skeletal muscle relaxation.
GABA mediates the transmission of pain. GABAergic neurons are widely distributed throughout the CNS including regions of the spinal cord & transmits pain impulses to brain.
Thiocolchicoside inhibits the GABA receptor (Acts as a GABA-A receptor antagonist) & helps relive pain. Thiocolchisoside is a safe & effective muscle relaxant with superior efficacy & rapid & powerful analgesia. It is well tolerated upto 6 months of continuous therapy & upto 16 mg per day in oral form.
